The Cottonwood Parks & Recreation department sponsored the 23rd annual Old-Fashioned Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30. Held at Riverfront Park in Cottonwood, children from 1 month to 8 years old collect candy and also plastic eggs that contain a number corresponding to a larger prize. Bracketed by age division, the grassy fields were loaded with over $2,000 in candy and prizes for the various age groups. Sunny skies ensured this year's turnout would be a good one, and indeed when all was said and done, the fields were completely picked clean of the multicolored packages of candy that had dotted the landscape just moments earlier.
