Letters Policy
The Verde Independent welcomes letters to the editor. Letters should be approximately 300 words. We reserve the right to edit letters for length, grammar, legal issues, clarity and taste. Those of you with special insight, expertise or knowledge may submit “My Turn” commentaries. We prefer you submit letters or My Turn commentaries by e-mail to editorial@verdevalleynews.com. We also will accept letters that are typewritten and double-spaced; they should be mailed to The Verde Independent, P.O. Box 429, Cottonwood, AZ 86326; delivered to our office at 116 S. Main Street during business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; or, faxed to (928) 649-1584. Please include your name and phone number to allow verification of authorship. Under no circumstances will unsigned letters be published.
