From costumed children collecting trick-free treats in Clarkdale to ghoulish grown ups dancing in Jerome streets, Halloween in the Verde Valley covers a range of interests.
Clarkdale will barricade one street above and below Main Street, from thirteenth to about sixteenth streets, creating a trick-or-treat safe zone from 5 to 7 p.m. on Halloween.
At 5:30 p.m., the annual costume contest will start at the Town Park Gazebo. For more information, contact Parks and Recreation at 928-639-2490 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Jerome will host its annual dance in Spook Hall benefiting the local fire department. In years past, revelers have been able to purchase drinks from a full cash bar and win prizes for their costumes.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for the Oct. 26 event.
