Get off on
By Ted Grussing
... Interstate 60 ... since there is no such freeway you may have to watch the delightful movie by the same name with a little cross over between alternate universes and a journey of discovery. A friend loaned us the DVD and it is one I hope to watch several times before returning it and buying my own copy.
The more of Brian Greene I read, the more fun it is to greet each day knowing that in this vast inflationary multiverse there is another me who did not treat the Adobe Support Staff with such respect as they received from me today. Perhaps that "me" took out the whole darn place after they mangled programs ... yes another four hours on the phone today and hours putting things back in order after they gave control of my computer back to me. Not allowed to keep program preferences this go around. This was tier two support, Wednesday I am to receive tier three help, but the problem I believe is in some really bad code writing.
So I am cheering that other "me" on! I'll never use that program again once fixed, but since I have paid for it, the program should run. Go other me!!!! In this universe I'll just continue as I am, but it is satisfying to know that somewhere, somehow another me reacted much differently. I recommend for your reading. The Hidden Reality: Parallel Universes and the Deep Laws of the Cosmos by Brian Greene. It is understandable and fascinating reading. Greene is one of the foremost physicists and science writers of our time and this book presents cutting edge physics and a journey through the inflationary multiverse that sees not one big bang but an endless series of them and not one universe, but an infinite number of them. Much nicer letting retribution be dispensed in other realities and remain one who seeks beauty, love and sharing of it all in this one :+) I wonder if there is a universe in which everyone lives that way and since there are an infinite number of universes it should be a reality in an infinite number of them; would that be heaven?
So the photo tonight is one I took on my own journey seven years ago when my friend Dick flew me to the east coast and after spending some time with he and his family, I spent some time with our daughter and her family before boarding the train in New York Penn Station and traveling by rail across the country to the bay area and visiting our other daughter and her family. I took this shot through the window as we traversed the Sierra in a major winter storm. It was beautiful and one of the best trips I have taken. I think I need to do it again.
Have a terrific day, life is very good and we have this life in this universe and Corky and I had homemade chili for dinner in this universe tonight .....

At nightfall,
Though I know I shall sometime no more open my eyes to the night or the day.
I am one who looks at the stars when unchained from the workbench at nightfall.
They are a sign I am not ephemeral, nor you, nor you, whoever you are.
The dawn comes and the dark and the sign sparkling in the brooding night,
