Obituary: Robert Edmond Hermann 1941-2013
Robert Edmond Hermann
Robert Edmond Hermann

Robert Edmond Hermann of Cottonwood passed away September 20, 2013. He was 71 years old. Robert was born on September 21, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Ottomar Edmond and Mildred Adele Hermann. He attended school in the Washington School System, graduating in 1959. After graduation, Robert chose to serve our country in the Army National Guard, achieving the rank of E2. After his time in the service, Robert went on to work at Valley National Bank, Honeywell Security and Phoenix Memorial. Robert was also a business owner who managed to be successful at all of life's endeavors, partially because he stood up to the challenges of life and was willing to take on anything.

Robert was a 'gentle giant' and a true lover of life. He played varsity tennis, participated in King of the Hill Professional Bowling and always achieved the highest marks in his academic studies. He collected steins, and was an outdoorsman who loved to play tennis and golf. Robert will be dearly missed by all.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ottomar and Mildred Hermann. He is survived by his son, Robert D. and wife Kimbirly Hermann of CO; his daughter Debbi D. Stout of OK; his brother, Richard P. and wife Bonnie K. Hermann of TX; his sister, Marjorie L. and husband William K. McCrea of AZ and four grandchildren. Robert is also survived by his loving companion of 36 years, Pamela Williams. Private family services will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park.
