'Tommy Rocks' music store opens July 1 in Jerome
JEROME - You have probably heard of "Tommy Rocks" already: as a Tempe musician, Tommy Anderson has played extensively throughout Arizona, as a solo performer, with his Beatles bands "Ringo McLennonSon" and "The Beatless," and with his band " OvO " featuring guitar legend Joe Berger from NYC. He has since moved to Cottonwood, and performs regularly in Prescott, Scottsdale, Phoenix and Tempe, as well as at The Spirit Room in Jerome and My Dobro in Cottonwood.

Economist says Arizona job forecast 'stagnant, slow, subpar'
PHOENIX -- Economist Aruna Murthy had a few words about the state's projected job growth when she made her predictions.

"Stagnant.' "Slow.' "Subpar.'

That's based on her forecast that Arizona employers will hire just 53,500 new workers all of this year. That means the number of Arizonans working at the end of this year will be just 2.1 percent higher than it was at the beginning -- the same slow growth rate the state has recorded for the past two years.

VVMC undergoes rigorous survey, earns national quality-based accreditation
Verde Valley Medical Center once again received national accreditation from DNV Healthcare, the newest Medicare-certified hospital accreditation organization. The accreditation announcement followed a rigorous three-day survey by a four-member survey team. The team will also be recommending VVMC for ISO 9001 certification, which integrates its quality management system with Medicare's Conditions of Participation.
